FAQs

Let's answer your questions!

1. Where are you located?
We are located on the corner of Deerbrush Crescent and Rideau Avenue, just past the mailboxes on the right.

2. Where can I park?
Please park along Deerbrush Crescent.

3. What should I bring?
Bring water and dress to sweat. Tight pants or shorts are recommended as loose pants can get caught while spinning.
We provide towels to soak up the sweat during class, and frozen cloths to relax and cool down at the end of class.
Bring indoor running shoes. We have clip-in shoes available in a variety of sizes if you would like to try clipping in to the bike but can’t guarantee we will have your size available.

4. How fit do I need to be to try a spin class?
You don’t need to be fit but you do need to be in reasonably good health and have no major health concerns. We require all riders to positively complete a PAR-Q+ form prior to their first class. You can learn more about the PAR-Q+ here: https://eparmedx.com/

5. How do you ride to the beat?
You will hear the music along with our instruction as you start spinning your legs. We will help you find the beat while you focus on pushing your legs to match it. Some people can find a beat right away and others take a few classes to get the hang of it. Our workouts are carefully matched to motivating songs with the appropriate beats. Once you get spinning to the beat it will come naturally to you and your workouts will feel instinctive. Riding to the beat is what makes it feel fun and not like a “grind”.

6. Should I eat before I come?
We recommend a carbohydrate snack about an hour before your class. This will give you energy for your workout without weighing you down with digestion. During a big workout your body will stop its digestive activities and you don’t want to feel sick during class. Please listen to your body’s needs and eat when you need to. We also recommend drinking plenty of water to keep hydrated.

7. Can I cancel a class?
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you are unable to cancel within the cancellation time frame or no show, your account will be charged as if you had taken the class.

8. Can I come to class early?
The studio will be open 15 minutes ahead of class start time. We encourage you to arrive with plenty of time to find parking, set up your bike, and feel comfortable before class starts.

9. What happens if I’m running late?
Don’t be late! Please call or text to let us know if you will be unable to make it to class so we can contact someone on the waiting list.
We will be locking the doors 1 minute before class starts. If you are late for class, to avoid any distraction for our participants, we will not be able to let you in.

Please come 15 minutes early to your first class so we can show you around, answer your questions and get you set up on your bike.

“The BEST Spin class! Instructors know their stuff, keep classes fun and motivated and I’m absolutely hooked! They design classes to move through a wide variety of conditioning (hills, sprints, speed) and it’s easy to follow - to the tempo of their ever changing playlists! They offer shoes, aromatherapy cool-down towels, and so much more. Definitely worth checking out!” - Ronnie

“I cannot say enough about Garage Cycle Spin Studio, Raina, Shaye and Kyja the Instructors. Since I began going there in 2019, they have convinced me I am strong and I can push my body in a healthy way; for strength, wellness, and a positive attitude. AND ITS FUN! Music is always great, playlists are changed up regularly, the studio is clean and a great cool temperature, lights are fun and funky, and cold towels at the end of a sweaty class are the best! Seriously, I never thought I would be a regular at something like this but it is a game-changer - I would be lost without attending my beloved Spin with Raina, Shaye and Kyja! Go try it - you won't be sorry. Thank you and LET'S GO!” - Thaylin
